Unleavened Bread- High Sabbath

The Feast of Unleavened Bread is a sacred time of reflection and remembrance. It begins on the 15th of Nisan, following Passover, and lasts for seven days, as commanded in Scripture (Exodus 12:15-20). During this time, we remove all leaven from our homes and lives, symbolizing the removal of sin and embracing purity in our walk with YHWH.

This feast reminds us of the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt, when they left in haste with no time to allow their bread to rise. It also points us to Messiah, the Bread of Life, who was without sin and whose sacrifice cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

As we partake in unleavened bread, we reflect on God’s faithfulness, deliverance, and call to holiness. Let us honor Him by walking in obedience and sincerity, leaving behind the “leaven” of our old ways and embracing the new life found in Him.
